I suppose that resillience involves building rock levees around everything to hold back rising sea levels?

Nah. To redress cuts to foreign aide and China’s movement into the region - only reason for interest and nothing to do with climate change.

We pay Pacific islands to invest in renewable technology, while we approve the opening of a new coal mine. We’ve made hypocrisy into an art form.

Not a fraction of the minimum required.

I’m sure that will ease his good Christian conscience.

The lack of vision this government has is simply astounding. What are the Islanders expected to do? Build tree houses? The simple answer is that WE have to take effective action at home. It's our mess, not theirs, but they're bearing the immediate brunt.

And to shore up our status in the Region in respect to China’s presence.

But the Cayman Islands aren't in the Pacific

Legend.

Imagine how this money will actually be spent!! Or not 😉

Australia needs to reduce emissions from coal and natgas

Where is the money coming from? Australia's aid budget has plummeted since this Coalition cabal of crooks took power. auspol
