Australia is not solely dependent on fuel delivered via North Asia, according to CaltexAustralia's Louise Warner

Australia is not dependent on fuel delivered via North Asia, according to Caltex Australia’s Louise Warner. Australia’s access to fuel has come under the microscope after revelations the government only has 28 days of fuel imports, well below the 90-day minimum advocated by the international community.

The Coalition is also considering whether to accept a request from the Trump administration to help patrol vessels in the oil-rich Persian Gulf amid concerns about Iran’s growing belligerence in the area. Ms Warner told Sky News that Australia has “many different supply sources” that Caltex could “easily access” in the event of international turmoil involving Iran or China. She said the company is “actively monitoring” contentious international issues and liaising with the government.
