Alice Springs Councillor JNampijinpa says Australia Day is, for her, a “real day of pride”.

Alice Springs Councillor Jacinta Price says Australia Day is, for her, a “real day of pride”. “Today is a magical day,” Ms Price told Sky News host Chris Kenny.

She spoke of the citizenship ceremonies which take place across the nation, saying it is “always really wonderful to see the pride” in the faces of those who have “taken that pledge”. “It’s just one of those moments where you get the opportunity to really reflect on our community. “It’s a real day of pride for me, and the rest of the day for me is about relaxing with my family. “Appreciating the country that we’re surrounded by, that’s what Australia day is for, for me and my family.

abelsjl JNampijinpa Well she would wouldn't she?.

JNampijinpa Oh... I thought that ABCTV was for news relating to outback areas... that was its original purpose... so how come this news if from Sky not ABC? Answer.... it doesn't fit the rhetoric & LeftistAgenda

CISOZ JNampijinpa It may or may not be a 'magical' day, but moving around traditions at whim is a recipe for making nations crumbly. I'm an Asian migrant. I strongly believe that 'Tolerance' needs to extend to history. All the world's dead are our common ancestors, we say where I come from

JNampijinpa When you gonna wheel out JosephineCashman?

JNampijinpa Happy Penal Colony day

Australia Day is just 'another day of bliss' in the 'lucky country' | Sky News AustraliaSky News host Chris Kenny says if you’re an Australian, you’ve “won the lottery of life” as no one around the world “has it better than us'. \n\nMr Kenny wished all a happy Australia Day, as he looked at the significance of this important day. \n\n“We celebrate our glorious nation by enjoying it … no one has it better than us”. \n\n“Our continent, our climate, our prosperity, our freedom, our culture, our diversity, our tolerance, our resilience, our egalitarian instincts, and our sense of a fair go. Our indigenous heritage, our strong British-based institutions and our wonderful and ongoing migrant culture.\n\n“All that, and we're humble too, we're so humble that we know we're not perfect, we lash ourselves about the sins of the past, committed by people we never knew.\n\n“We work hard to right the wrongs of the past, to help end disadvantage for our Indigenous brothers and sisters.\n\n'Australia Day is just another day of bliss in the lucky country'. \n\nMr Kenny said it is “fair enough” that there are a few protests around the country on our national day. \n\n“It's a free country, that's the point”. \n\n“Life is so good here that some people will always use the national day, whichever day we choose to mark it, as a chance to break up the boredom with bliss of this country, and instead have the airing of grievances.\n\n'It's a way of virtue signalling, a way of being anti-establishment. \n\n“For every person who wants to shame Australia, there are another million on this planet who would give everything to live here.\n\n“That tells us two things, that those people are smart, and we are doing a lot more right, than we ever did wrong.\n\n“Happy Australia Day, may we always be free, robust and on the improve.”\n In what way? as someone who lived & worked in several countries - to me, Australia & (most of the) genuine Australians deserve to be loved or at lest respected (and the country forgiven for the few problems it has.) Yes. I agree. Couldn't have said it better myself. I'm so blessed to have a part in the great Australian dream. PS. When will those ungrateful Aussies get it? That's why we have illegals trying to reach our shores, any which way, so that they can live here too. Chew on that!
