AUSTRALIA WIN THE SERIES Australia round out 51-run winners in game two. AUSvIND REPORT:

The Australian maestro matched his 62-ball effort from Friday with another on Sunday and would have got there for a ball earlier if Marnus Labuschagne had not slipped over when there was a two on offer.

He departed with a score of 104 off 64, with just 15 dots balls in all – he hit one more boundary than deliveries he allowed go to waste without troubling the scorers.Smith’s century was once again the highlight of Australia’s innings and again it was one of many impressive contributions up and down the batting order.

It was the kind of wobble that has undone Australian teams in the past but with Smith in form the ascendancy stayed the host’s. India threatened Australia for much of the chase but the hosts always seemed to have things under control.

Australia-China relationship worsened throughout 2020 | Sky News AustraliaAustralia’s relationship with China has suffered over the past year due to escalating trade-tensions.\n\nIn April, amid a nation-wide lockdown, Australia demanded an independent inquiry into the origins of the coronavirus.\n\nHowever, the Chinese government was incensed by the request and hit back with threats of a consumer boycott on Australian goods.\n\nWhen Australia refused to back down and continued its calls for a proper assessment into the origins of the pandemic, Beijing followed through with their threats, suspending beef abattoirs in May, and imposing hefty tariffs on Australian goods, including wine, lobster, barely and coal. \n\nThe fractured relationship was further demonstrated after the Chinese embassy in Canberra issued a dossier containing 14 grievances against the Australian government in November in a deliberate ploy to reverse key policies. \n\nToward the end of the year, Australia brought a trade dispute with China over tariffs placed on Australian barley to the World Trade Organisation. \n\nAustralian moves into 2021 no closer to rescuing its rocky relationship with China. \n Past year, eh? That was during Morrison's tenure as the laziest, most incompetent, most ignorant, most corrupt, most useless PM we've ever had. I wonder if the two things are connected somehow ... Suffered over the past year due to AUSTRALIA calling for an investigation/enquiry into the CHINA-VIRUS!. TELL IT AS IT IS SKY AUSTRALIA! Or is sugar-daddy Rupert lubed up for China as well? Guess China wants to control them .

'Our children and grandchildren' will be paying for 2020 for decades | Sky News AustraliaSky News host Chris Kenny says while Australia certainly has the coronavirus under control now, there are still key questions as to what economic price we have paid and whether our response was sustainable. \n\n“There are many hundreds of thousands of Australians who have lost their jobs or their businesses over the past year who might question the brilliance of our response,” Mr Kenny said. \n\nHe said while many people would like to say Australia is the ‘gold standard' when it comes to managing the virus, it is arguable other countries have “done better”. \n\n“Arguably Taiwan, South Korea and Singapore have done better, quelling the virus and minimising the economic consequences,” he said. \n\nMr Kenny also discussed US Infectious disease expert Dr Anthony Fauci recent praising of Australia's response to managing the pandemic. \n\nDr Fauci applauded the Morrison government's use of lockdowns to limit the spread of COVID-19. \n\n“Yep, sure he gives Australia a tick, as he should,” Mr Kenny said. \n\n“But it is all about the balance, it is all about trying to find the sweet spot”. \n\n“The test is to quell a virus without a total lockdown, without crushing livelihoods, disrupting lives and foisting hundreds of billions of debt onto our children.\n\n“That remains the crucial challenge. And I for one reckon we should not be too smug thinking we've got all that right … because our children and our grandchildren will be paying for 2020 for many more decades to come.” \n\n

Scott Morrison has ended 2020 ‘politically ascendant’ | Sky News AustraliaPrime Minister Scott Morrison has had “one amazing year” and has arguably finished the year politically ascendant.\n\nSky News Chief Anchor Kieran Gilbert said the prime minister ends 2020 “ascendant in a political sense” after guiding the nation through crisis after crisis on multiple fronts.\n\nThe prime minister came under fire at the beginning of 2020 for his performance during the black summer bushfires, but his standing in the community reflected in the polls has never been higher.\n\nThe Australian’s Editor-At-Large Paul Kelly said 2020 as been “one of the big years” in both international and Australian politics.\n\nThe year was “dominated by the pandemic” which Mr Kelly said the country handled “brilliantly” despite mistakes on a few fronts.\n\n“You look at the relative performance of Australia, 908 deaths in this country compared to 300,000 in the United States, compared to 60,000 in the United Kingdom”. \n\n“So, we’ve done brilliantly well when it came to managing the pandemic.”\n\n ScottMorrisonMP Aussie should realise that u guys are not american, your country are much weaker than USA
