Prime Minister ScottMorrisonMP wants to supercharge Australia's economic relationship with the United Kingdom as the government confirms free trade talks will commence.

Prime Minister Scott Morrison wants to supercharge Australia's economic relationship with the United Kingdom as the government confirms free trade talks will commence. Mr Morrison and UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson trumpeted the talks as a key part of the nations' post-pandemic recovery. The trade deal would mean hundreds of millions of export opportunities for farmers, industry and business. "We're united by so much already.

Let's get this free trade done," Mr Johnson said. "I want a world in which we send you Marmite, you send us Vegemite, we send you penguins and you send us - with reduced tariffs - these wonderful Arnott's Tim Tams." Both countries would like to see talks finalised by Christmas with Australia seeking to become one of the first countries to enter a new trade deal with UK post-Brexit. The UK is Australia's seventh-largest trading partner.

ScottMorrisonMP Does that mean tax free as well? Don't forget to include taxes in the negotiations too many foreign companies (includes News Corp) don't pay any Australian taxes.

ScottMorrisonMP Wow, how good are the LNP at managing money? Dump China for the UK 🤔

ScottMorrisonMP Awesome trade with UK. Huge savings on soccer club number plates and bumper stickers. Economy building.

ScottMorrisonMP dfat stats show China our stand out trading partner by a country mile, now at risk through dumb posturing. Logic says NZ Thailand and Malaysia would be better 'supercharge' opportunities, much closer to home.

ScottMorrisonMP Is anyone talking to the fact that the UK is an economic minnow compared to our trade with China? Or are we just getting stenographer journalism now?

ScottMorrisonMP So glad to hear this! We have struggled to break into the US market without it. Many thanks to Austrade but will be awesome for us. Good luck ScoMo !!

ScottMorrisonMP Erm, what are we trading? Call centre workers or waitresses?

ScottMorrisonMP What is it we get from the UK? Some luxury cars owned by non UK companies. Bentos pies? Walkers crisps.

ScottMorrisonMP The UK and Ireland should have always been one of our important trading partners because of the historical ties.

ScottMorrisonMP

ScottMorrisonMP So the Uk will ramp up production of boomerangs to sell to us to sell bavk as souvenirs? culturaltheft

ScottMorrisonMP This is a John Howard wet dream.

ScottMorrisonMP Why is Australia importing boomerangs from the UK?

ScottMorrisonMP Been there. Done that. Got the T shirt. This is a dodo deal. Australia may have stuff they want but what do we get out of it? Nostalgia? That is about all the UK has to sell.

ScottMorrisonMP Great move Australia!! Now scrub China...we want our jobs back...we want our land back with all it's resources. FuckChina
