Anti-money laundering watchdog AUSTRAC has expanded its investigation into Star Entertainment.

into Star Entertainment and some of its customers beyond the main Sydney casino and into other entities within the broader ASX-listed group.

“AUSTRAC has advised that it will request information and documents from The Star as part of its investigation,” the sharemarket update said. The AUSTRAC probe includes potential breaches of anti-money laundering and counterterrorism financing laws around customer due diligence and proper adoption of anti-money laundering protections.
