ASPI Washington Director Mark Watson says the AUSMIN meeting is “very important” for Australia to align its policies and expectations with the US.

“At a time where China is obviously been placing enormous pressure on Australia,

these sorts of meetings … are obviously very important,” Mr Watson told Sky News Australia.
