Boral has warned that its earnings have continued to be adversely impacted by heavy rainfall, particularly in NSW and Queensland, and further increases in energy prices since its March trading update.
This consists of a $30 million adverse impact from “exceptional rainfall” on volumes and costs, and assumes additional rain days through the balance of May and June. On March 22, Boral already warned that underlying EBIT for its continuing operations in FY22 was expected to be between $145 million and $155 million, assuming no further extraordinary rain events.
