Julian Assange sentenced to 50 weeks in jailJulian Assange has been jailed for 50 weeks for breaching his bail by gaining asylum in the Ecuadorean embassy for seven years as he sought to evade sex charges in Sweden. What is going on with that? where has our support for an Australian Citizen been ”Jailed Wikileaks founder Julian Assange is about to begin another legal fight, this time to prevent extradition to the US where he fears he will be persecuted.” That “fear” is imaginary and in any event it is not a valid extradition objection i.e. it is doomed to fail. “Today was the first time a British court has heard detailed evidence of the concerns and fears that led Mr Assange to seek asylum” Those “concerns” and “fears” are delusional and/or in any event entirely normal fears among criminals who are facing justice. wikileaks
