ASIO's case load jumps as pandemic fuels far-right extremism | Gallo_Ways

Violent right-wing extremists are increasingly catching the attention of Australia's domestic spy agency, with the threat now accounting for about a third of its counter-terrorism cases.

"I think it [the pandemic] also makes it much easier to be finding like-minded individuals, there is a much wider variety of what I would call chat groups or areas where individuals with these views can coalesce and discuss and I guess promote these views more widely." "I don't think it would be accurate to say that everybody ASIO is currently looking at is about to carry out a terrorist attack," she told the Parliamentary Joint Committee on Intelligence and Security.without any far-right extremist individuals or groups on its terror listLabor has been calling for a review of Australia's proscribed list of terrorist organisations to ascertain whether right-wing groups should be on the register.

Gallo_Ways Should read 'Government lockdowns are so extreme people are calling for its powers to be limited'.

Gallo_Ways far left good. far right bad? Is that how it is?

Gallo_Ways

Gallo_Ways Apparently about 40% of ASIO’s case load is due to the Far Right. So what of the other 60%? Perhaps - Islamic, Far Left, Neo-Marxist anarchists, CCP operatives?

Gallo_Ways There are other things that fuel it too. Some of the garbage on Sky etc is just pure fuel on the flames. They have a lot to answer for, and nobody to hold them in check.

Gallo_Ways Qan*n is a white extremist driven cult, conning people in through a gaming format. Vulnerable people taking quite obvious magical thinking narrative and 'Q drops' of 'latest info' as though its real

Gallo_Ways What about Far left extremists? We are seeing their early rise in America and soon in many other countries

Gallo_Ways Is it a rise in far right extremism or just people who disagree with the left wing socialists who are perpetually outraged that people disagree with them ? Politicised Public service driving the agenda as usual me thinks

Gallo_Ways Right is doing the right things to save the world, But left just want to cover the truth and watching people die ! Wake up Australians! Don’t be fooled Find out the source of COVID-19 ! It’s Bio-weapon made by the CCP ! ErykBagshaw ABC SBSNews SkyNewsAust

That doesn’t seem like many. Does that mean we shall see a 10% reduction in the number of feminist research studies telling us how hard done by females are? That is tragic for all the researchers, their departments and the Universities. Losing 10% of researchers during a pandemic and recession is so short sighted.
