Newlywed AshBarty has spoken about her big day, and life after tennis. Speaking about her retirement, the former world number one says there are no regrets. Georgia3Holland 7NEWS

champion’s tennis racquet had come out of the bag since her sensational retirement earlier this year.“Other than playing with Lucy, my niece, and her best friends from school, coaching them – but usually it’s a junior racquet that I’ve got in my hand with those guys. Absolutely loving getting out on court with Lucy and her friends, but haven’t hit any balls, no.

“I was extremely fortunate to have such a fun career and such an incredible career, but I’m really enjoying where we are now.”While she clearly won’t be returning to the tennis court, she said retirement has already been “busier than what I thought it would be.” “It’s great because I think I’m so lucky that I’ve got so many opportunities for new challenges and, like I said, it’s all the things that I’ve always wanted to do, just never had the time to do them,” she said.

“Now we do have the time and we’re making use of that time, which is great. I’m enjoying every single second, no regrets, and absolutely loving it.”
