Removing Gold Coast light installation like changing a Picasso, artist saysThe artist who designed a controversial $2 million Gold Coast artwork which cannot be read by drivers says it was never meant to be a sign and council's idea to remove it is crazy. For it to be like changing a Picasso, the piece would have to be like a Picasso. Bluntly, it is not. The piece does nothing of note besides bother the people who have to put up with its continued presence. Comparing it to a Picasso is frankly insulting to the work Picasso did. Oh!
