Russian President Vladimir Putin has been accused of being responsible for the “unlawful transfer” of children from Ukraine.

The International Criminal Court has issued an arrest warrant for Russian President Vladimir Putin for war crimes, alleging his involvement in abductions of children from Ukraine.

He also said the Russian leader failed to exercise his rights to stop others who deported children. The judges also issued an arrest warrant for Maria Lvova-Belova, Russia’s commissioner for children’s rights, accusing her of the same crimes.Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky accused Russia last year of “stealing” his country’s children from the besieged city of Mariupol and other areas, some of them without their parents.

The court has no powers to arrest suspects, and can only exercise jurisdiction within countries who are signed up to the agreement that set up the court. Russia is not a signatory to that agreement - so it is unlikely either will be extradited. The Kremlin has repeatedly denied accusations that its forces have committed atrocities during the invasion of its neighbour, said the court’s move was meaningless.

US responds after Russian fighter jet collides with American droneThe US military says a Russian fighter jet struck the propeller of an American drone, forcing it down over the Black Sea. It also said it was the first direct encounter between the US and Russian forces since the war in Ukraine began. A Russian fighter jet colliding with an American military surveillance drone over the Black Sea prompted harsh accusations from both sides. The Pentagon said the drone was over international waters, and the Russians acted unsafely and irresponsibly. However, Moscow claims the American drone ventured into an area declared off-limits by the Russians and caused the collision with a “sharp manoeuvre”. Oh well, it's just a drone. If you believe that you will believe anything Stay away from the Crimea. Couldn't be plainer.

US demands better from Russia following drone collisionWashington has revealed the US drone taken down by a Russian fighter jet may not be recovered. US Defence Secretary Lloyd Austin has told Moscow it demands better professionalism from its air force. The United States says its surveillance craft – MQ-9 Reaper Drone – was intercepted in international airspace by Russian jets that dumped fuel on it and caused it to crash into the Black Sea. “This hazardous episode is a part of a pattern of aggressive and risky and unsafe actions by Russian pilots in international airspace,” Mr Austin said. Is the US drone vaccinated?🤪 This is a better decision at this time. Lmfao
