Replacing the smaller 'mini' devices that had featured in previous lineups, it appears Apple thinks they can sell more of the bigger phones than the smaller ones. 9News

a month ago, there was a new device in the lineup, the Plus model. Replacing the smaller "mini" devices that had featured in the iPhone 12 and 13 models, it appears Apple thinks they can sell more of the bigger phones than the smaller ones.

It's the same sized 6.7-inch screen as the iPhone 14 Pro Max, but the Plus' is slightly lower quality — though still exceptional quality on the general comparison to the rest of the smartphone market. What the Plus lacks is what Apple calls Pro Motion, the faster refresh rate of 120Hz, and while that might appeal to some, there are plenty who simply don't need or see that difference.

Compared to the standard iPhone 14 it would be hours, so the real market here with the iPhone 14 Plus is people who want a better battery, and importantly a bigger screen. Speaking of which, it's the same size in the hand as an iPhone 8 Plus, but with a much larger screen, so for those with older Plus phones, this is a real winner.

Apple.... Overpriced crap!

It's all very well coming out with bigger phones, but then they get too big for our pockets.
