Premier Daniel Andrews has suggested construction will not return after the two-week pause as planned following violent protests over the COVID-19 vaccine mandate.

The construction industry was shut down in metropolitan Melbourne and other locked down local government areas from 11.59pm on Monday following a rally outside the CFMEU headquarters and after multiple COVID-19 outbreaks were linked to work sites.

“Things that are going to have to happen. It is not just about getting open it is about staying open. “You can’t be wearing your hi-vis and your hard hat and having your mask underneath your chin. That doesn’t work.

WoW..A LABOR State UNION Member Disagreeing With The ACTU Is Dangerous.. Watch Your Back Andrews!!

You think you had rioters, you watch what happens now 🤦‍♂️

He’s going to punish real tradies for what fake tradies did!!

Appalling how much power these premiers have to just smash business with their lockdown powers.

But John Setka, the ABCnews and DanielAndrewsMP said it was not construction workers that were protesting in the violent protests. So I guess the question is if it was not them why are they being punished?

Further evidence that we no longer have a health crisis in Victoria, we have a leadership crisis, this was totally unnecessary😤

Those with their first shot can work. Why make it more complicated than it has to be.

It’s all about power for Dan Andrews….nothing else

Urgh that guy!
