Premier Daniel Andrews has told Victorians he wouldn’t “read anymore into” the closure of the Holiday Inn quarantine facility for deep cleaning. He said a deep clean was “not possible” if there are guests at the hotel “That will be done as quickly as possible. Those guests have and are being moved to alternative hotels and that will be done safely”.
“Anyone who has spent time in the facility, any more than 15 minutes in that facility between the 27 January and the 9 February, worker or resident or visitor for whatever reason, is now considered a primary close contact of this.” "That, again, is an abundance of caution and the right thing to do and that is based on the very best of public health advice.
