According to their LinkedIn profiles that were reviewed by the Times, some of the managers were with the company for more than six years.Amazon said the changes were made after evaluating the warehouse’s “operations and leadership” for several weeks.
The managers were being fired due to an “organizational change”, two employees told the Times. One said that some of the managers had recently received positive performance reviews. “As a company, we don’t think unions are the best answer for our employees,” a spokesperson said following the union win. “Our focus remains on working directly with our team to continue making Amazon a great place to work.”rejectedOrganizers said they had lost some support at the warehouse after filing for an election in February because they directed more energy to the nearby facility that voted to unionize last month.
