The Labor Party’s drift towards “chardonnay socialism” has seen socially and economically conservative voters abandon the party for minor parties, focus groups say.

Figures revealed by Newspoll on Monday showed support for the federal Opposition had fallen with approval for leader Anthony Albanese slipping to its lowest rate since taking the reins of the party back in May 2019.

“What’s really fascinating, potentially, behind those latest numbers in Newspoll we’ve seen this week is there’s a group of long-time ex-Labor voters, or voters that a long time were voting … we’ve watched them drift off Labor for a long period of time now,” he said.

France now ‘throwing a tantrum’ over torn up submarine dealThe French may have forgotten what they said about the Anglo-Saxons long ago: like a group of villains looking for carrion vultures with sinister and cunning eyes.
