Neighbours were in awe at the raid, which saw armed officers execute search warrants at three separate properties.
“There was SWAT guys here, all dressed in black and wouldn't let us near the place,” one neighbour told 9News. “I just noticed a, well I assumed police officer, pointing a rifle, taking photos and also using the dog squad to sniff out potential evidence,” Sharron Kristensen said. Police allege Poot operated a sophisticated and large scale hacking system targeting government infrastructure including Victoria Police, as well as attacking the Private Automatic Branch Exchange .A 27-year-old man at one of the properties was charged with firearm offences and bailed.
