Alice Springs youth curfew extended for six days, will end next week after schools return in the Northern Territory
It was announced by Chief Minister Eva Lawler in response to riots involving up to 150 people in Alice Springs on March 27.Sources told Sky News the government would extend the curfew until 6am on Tuesday morning, the day after school returns.It follows calls from across the political spectrum for the curfew to be extended.Federal Labor MP Marion Scrymgour told Sky News host Tom Connell the curfew had been an important circuit breaker.
