OPINION: The reality is that it is not what Beijing says, but how it acts, which is shaping the government’s early foreign policy forays.

The benign interpretation is that this is another olive branch being proffered by Beijing, which seeks to use the election of the Albanese government to reset the bilateral relationship.

If China genuinely seeks a reset of the relationship, it should take the first concrete action itself and withdraw the unwarranted trade punishment against Australia’s grain, beef, and wine exports – not make this conditional on improved political relations on its terms first. ”. The reality, moreover, is that it is not what China says, but how it acts, which is shaping the government’s early foreign policy forays.

The Albanese government may not buy Beijing’s line that the Coalition is to blame for the state of the relationship. But it is playing the blame game by fingering the Morrison government for allegedly failing to engage with the region and for neglecting Australia’s security interest in the South Pacific.

Look at this! AU didn't have any problems with Ugyhur genocide, human rights abuses or Huawei back then when the US hadn't realise it's world order was under threat and didn't dictate who AU could be friends with.

Decouple from this pariah state, but 'smile and wave' while doing so.

Albanese wants to borrow a page from Hawke’s playbookAnalysis: Anthony Albanese is repeating one of Bob Hawke’s first acts in government - a summit to discuss the state of the economy and the future of work | swrighteconomy swrighteconomy go Albanese 👍❤️ swrighteconomy He clearly doesn’t have a plan, is holding summits to get ideas, so plagiarising from Hawke is no surprise. swrighteconomy I still remember Bob shouting to all and sundry that no Australian child will live in poverty. I don’t think anyone actually believed it.

National plan to end violence against women to top agendaExclusive: The first meeting of women’s safety ministers since the election of the Albanese government may finalise a 10-year plan to reduce domestic and family violence | swrighteconomy swrighteconomy First place they should look at is indigenous communities where domestic violence and child abuse is rampant. swrighteconomy On average, 1 woman a week and 1 man a month is killed by a current or former partner. I get the difference but is any mention of the men being killed? Also no mention as the ratio of the women/men killed to be Aboriginal. swrighteconomy Will this include Aboriginal women who are 34-80 TIMES more likely to be the victim of DV or will it just be for... y'know... 'city folk' with nice TV commercials aired only in cities and featuring only anglo people?

Plan to deal with women’s violence top of agenda when ministers meet next weekThe first meeting of women’s safety ministers since the election of the Albanese government may finalise a 10-year plan to reduce domestic and family violence. | By Shane Wright auspol Since the abuse is 35 times worse in aboriginal communities, will they be starting there or will there just be more ads on tv which no one watches anymore? ‘We must do something. This is something. Let’s do this.’ The headline should read ‘men’s violence’. Not ‘women’s violence’. Physical and sexual abuse against women in indigenous communities is out of control. Govt won’t act cos to do so would be racist. By all means have a chat about it.

Greens to push Albanese government to broaden powers of anti-corruption watchdogThe Greens want the federal integrity commission to have broader investigative powers and independent funding. LisaVisentin All this virtue-signalling and grandstanding. How about dealing first with the corruption we know about in Queensland and Victoristan? Oh, that's right, this is all about smearing and persecuting any conservative politicians. P1 LisaVisentin Next it will be the racist voice to parliament, change the flag and Aust Day. Then it will be BLM, Extinction Rebellion, climate change nutters and the fascist Antifa terrorists sowing dissent, political unrest and executing people in the street. Straight out of US Dem playbook. LisaVisentin Nothing regarding ‘corruption’ comes to fruition or is cover-up. Australians are so awake now.
