Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell says Prime Minister Anthony Albanese can “talk all he likes” about “now’s not the time” for the discussion surrounding Australia becoming a republic.

“Now’s not the time, you know, because you wouldn’t want to be turning up at the Queen’s funeral saying by the way I want a republic and I don’t want the King on the five dollar note,” Mr Clennell told Sky News host Andrew Bolt.

Going on this tweet I’ve got a feeling it’s the LAST thing on his mind. Plus 60+% of people don’t want the change and it’s growing.

So called political reporters who are so one sided they don’t count.

say NO to the republic Australia

Well mows not the time. There have been two polls I’ve seen recent with an average of 70% of Australian’s who won’t be supporting a Republic👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

That’s all Albo does . Talk!, most incompetent PM ahead of Rudd and Turdball.

Yes he can.. he's the boss!!!

Dr Monique Ryan ‘caught red-handed being a hypocrite’Independent MP Dr Monique Ryan has been 'caught red-handed being a hypocrite,' says Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell. Dr Monique Ryan – who recently blasted Coalition MPs for not wearing masks in Parliament – has been forced to defend her own actions after leaked footage has shown her dancing at a recent live fundraising event in Victoria without wearing a mask. The footage, obtained by Sky News Australia, was taken almost three weeks after Dr Ryan took aim at LNP members during Question Time on August 1 for not wearing a mask. Assessing the footage, Mr Clennell said there was 'no social distancing' seen. 'Unfortunately, if you preach in politics, you really have to practice it,' Mr Clennell said. Speaking to Sky News Australia on Thursday, Dr Ryan defended her actions by saying while she doesn't 'keep a mask on 24/7,' she does wear one 'almost all of the time'. A real life Witch Doctor? If you're thinking this is worth the energy, you're no better than her and her followers. Hate to tell you about Barnaby_Joyce 🤯

ABC ‘backing a challenge’ to stop development of natural gasSky News host Andrew Bolt says the ABC is “clearly backing a challenge” to stop natural gas in New South Wales from being pumped and used for energy. “We are short of domestic supplies of gas, for your heating, for your stove, for generating electricity,” he said. “We'd be a lot better off if we let developers get the gas from the huge Narrabri basin in New South Wales - and the company Santos wants to do just that.” Have never known Bolt to be correct. ABC Au isone of the companies responsible for the climate lie. The CO2 charts from the Little Ice Age and the Medieval warm period were removed from the chart to have a smooth flow with a small CO2 spike to show an upward trend. We are at the lowest CO2 in 600 million years I want cheap power. I want my gas to be readily available for cooking & heating. I want to be able to afford my gas bills. I don’t give a stuff about CO2 emissions. If you want to reduce them, shower with cold water, eat raw food & stop pretending you know what’s best for me.
