Australia has a rare chance to grow its economy and help its neighbours cut emissions in the clean energy revolution. | By Mike Foley and Nick Toscano economy energy

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese says Australia has a once-in-a-lifetime chance to become a renewable energy superpower by transforming the country’s old coal-dominated electricity grid, helping its regional allies to shift to net zero emissions and tapping booming green investments.

The forum is part of the Quad partnership between Japan, US, India and Australia where Albanese will meet with top officials from these nations as well as from Indonesia, which is a special inclusion as a regional partner. Albanese will say Australia can grow new industries along with global energy security by developing and exporting its abundant reserves of rare earths, aluminium,“Australia has the workers, the resources and the capacity to become a renewable energy superpower,” he will say.

The fallout from Russia’s invasion of Ukraine was deepening a global energy crisis and piling enormous pressure on Australia’s east-coast power network, where authorities remain on high alert over blackout risks and spiking prices.

Use a tried and true US tactic. A sustained smear campaign against Chinese solar technology and products. Make up forced labour lies. This would allow Aus to catch-up on an area it had no interest whatsoever under a decade of LNP.

Buying made in china solar panels and wind turbines that don't last is not the answer for renewables ?

People don’t live in tents in Superpower countries mate. Only your wealthy masters can afford globalism. The primary vote will plummet again. auspol

Fanatics!

China, Russia, India aren’t interested. The loudest voices for this crap at COP26 are taking the biggest steps away. UK, US, Germany, Italy, Canada all reinvesting in coal & gas. Aust, rich in both, opting for less reliable sources requiring massive new infrastructure cost. 🤦‍♂️

So we are to suffer energy deficits sooner and for a longer period as our WOKE Cyclops Guardians force a transition based upon blindness to the consequence.
