The moose, estimated to be a one-year-old bull, had a misstep while eating breakfast on Sunday morning next to a home in Soldotna, about 150 miles south-west of Anchorage. A biologist from the Alaska department of fish and game was able to tranquilize the moose but the animal was not completely unconscious.Once sedated, the next problem was getting the moose – which weighed at least 500lb – out of the house.
Photos of the morning rescue showed the moose unfazed, simply looking ahead between two men maneuvering the front of the tarp down a hallway.
