Alan Jones' contract will be torn up if he repeats Ardern comments, employer says

Breakfast radio star Alan Jones' contract will be terminated if he makes any more remarks similar to his demand Prime Minister Scott Morrison confront New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern and "shove a sock down her throat", Macquarie Media chairman Russell Tate said.

"Notwithstanding his apologies, I have today discussed the matter with Alan and advised him that any recurrence of commentary of this nature will result in the termination of his contract," Mr Tate said."My comments were careless and they should have been more clearly thought and to that extent I have erred and made a mistake," Jones said on 2GB, which is owned by Macquarie Media, on Friday afternoon. "I was wrong and I apologise.

Mr Turnbull responded to Mr Bainimarama, saying: "Jones should also apologise to [Ms Ardern] for his latest misogynistic rant. It may be political to some, but it’s existential in the Pacific."
