Pauline Hanson has lashed out at the media saying she was taken out of context with comments she made about the Port Arthur massacre. The One Nation Leader was broadly condemned by all sides of politics after she was caught on camera saying she has ‘a lot of questions’ about the 1996 tragedy which left 35 people dead.
Ms Hanson has told Sky News she thinks Al Jazeera, responsible for the undercover investigation, has doctored the footage. The One Nation Leader made the claim despite saying she has not had time to watch the documentary in full. She says she doesn't believe the Port Arthur massacre was a government conspiracy, as suggested in the leaked footage, but was simply quoting a book she had read.
