International airfares will fluctuate widely over the next year before returning to pre-pandemic levels in mid-2023 as the aviation sector gains greater certainty about demand and capacity, the peak travel agency body says.

“When you look at it now, it’s Singapore Airlines, Emirates, Qatar Airways, United Airlines. Those are generally premium brands that have a far higher price point,” Mr Long said.
