Qantas chief executive Alan Joyce saying in November it would be a requirement to fly on his airline
Air New Zealand will be one of the first airlines to use the International Air Transport Association’s Travel Pass app, which passengers link to their e-passport and will carry verified copies of test results and - in the future - vaccination records.“Once borders reopen, travel is going to look very different, with customers’ health data needing to be verified at check-in,” said the airline’s chief digital officer Jennifer Sepull.
Using the app is not mandatory during Air New Zealand’s trial, and will likely only be used for test results given no country in the world has made vaccination a requirement of travel. The airline said it was still talking to government agencies about how to validate test results and vaccination records.

pwhatch Nice! I honestly can’t wait to go back to NZ without the fear the borders will lock shut without notice.
pwhatch Nope. Definitely not. Corporations should not have or handle personal health information. Not acceptable.
pwhatch So messed up. No one should be forced to take the vaccine and lose their right to travel, go to a hospitality or retail venue, etc. This is absolute madness
pwhatch Do it to fly to NZ !

pwhatch Here come antivax idiots in the comments going to whinge about their FrEEdOm
pwhatch Flights are probably the only area where I cool with a vaccine passport for personal matters. If they try introducing such things for going to a restaurant or a bar, then we have trouble.
