The Religious Discrimination Bill promised by the federal government at the last election almost three years ago is set to be brought before parliament this week.

It was a promise at the last federal election, but with only months remaining of this term of the Morrison government, it is only this week bringing what it calls the "religious freedom" bill to parliament.Labor frontbencher Chris Bowen said his party wants to be constructive on the Religious Discrimination Bill, but it has yet to see it."The government has now been in office three years," Mr Bowen told Sky News' Sunday Agenda program.

But government frontbencher Stuart Robert insists the government has been consulting extensively and widely on the issue and is now able to bring it forward."No one gets everything they all want in public policy, I think that's a given on all sides of debate," Mr Robert told Sky News. There was also the promise of the integrity commission, which Mr Bowen said the prime minister has been fiddling around on, but again done nothing.

"We've always said we want the voice to be something that is a bipartisan agreement, we want something that Australians can embrace," he said.

This is the bill that the lefties are interested in.

Has the census data even been released yet? How can such a bill be considered when there’s no current data on practicing religious people in this country? If it’s found that atheists are a majority, why would such pandering be done in the name of a minority?

Where religion collides with the secular laws the secular laws of the land must prevail. Religions are just delusional dogmas and should be consigned to history in my view.

Do the supporters understand that all religions will have the right to say whatever they want without risk of legal action. Think about that. I am totally against male and female genital mutilation in the name of religion. Yes, I'm talking about circumcision.

all religions should be mocked and ridiculed evenly. no special treatment for your imaginary friends

One could propose that the integrity problems we have within the federal government far outweigh the problems with religious discrimination. Which begs the question why is the first an imperative and the latter not to be seen?

Absolute BS from pentacostal PM talk to eagle paintings Morrison Insane Qanon in Australian streets. a much more important Federal ICAC bill needed Scott refuses to bring forward to face any scrutiny over this governments corruption Call the Election

NO special privileges for religions ! In fact - we must force them into the courts to Prove their claims or to be declared fraud!!!
