The Supreme Court has ordered that three Victorian properties valued at $4.2 million are forfeited to the Commonwealth, after a joint investigation by Australia and China.

The Australian government has been granted by the Victorian Supreme Court three properties from a Chinese national after a joint money-laundering investigation with China, police said on Saturday.

A two-bedroom apartment, a five-bedroom house and a property that used to house a supermarket were collectively valued at $4.2 million and will be sold. The proceeds will be used for law enforcement initiatives, the AFP said. China's Ministry of Public Security had asked for Australia's help in 2016 to identify two Chinese nationals whom Beijing said defrauded money from investors.

"This operation further highlights the AFP’s relationship with the MPS and ongoing close collaboration," the AFP said.Australia has long co-operated with China in an effort to crack down on money launderers.

AFP media raids damage Australia's reputation: Innes WilloxAustralian Industry Group head Innes Willox says the AFP raids on the ABC and News Corp could erode investor confidence in Australia's reputation as a free and open democracy. Australia's reputation was near irrevocably damaged last year when the AFP refused to pursue Cash about what she knew and when about the AFP raid on the AWU being leaked to the media. TheirABC, happy to dox the AFP so it can continue to publish secrets that protect us from terrorists. How very ABC. That would explain why that huge hippie commune called Singapore is doing so well.🙄😉 Innes Willox's comments are full of contradictions, speculation and obvious bias. What actual evidence can be presented, rather than just the opinion of yet another former journalist? Ethics

'Designed to intimidate': ABC chair Ita Buttrose demands government rule out more AFP raidsABC chair Ita Buttrose has told new Communications Minister Paul Fletcher the raid was 'clearly designed to intimidate'. How about getting on with sorting out the ABC collective as opposed to trying to curry favour with the luvvies? Confronting you for potential inappropriate conduct is going to be intimidating. That's given, no 'design' is necessary It’s not designed to intimidate, by the very nature it is intimidating when the AFP turn up to raid an office.

ABC chair Ita Buttrose condemns AFP raidABC chair Ita Buttrose has 'grave concern' about this week's Australian Federal Police (AFP) raid at the national broadcaster, which she says were 'clearly designed to intimidate'. Yeah you did this ABC, please take a Bex and lie-down for a while, you will feel much better. And still no report on that man pleading guilty to stabbing a Tony Abbot supporter ? go figure folks 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♂️. 'the importance of an independent public broadcaster to Australian culture and democracy.' What utter hypocrisy, look at the recent election coverage, so biased that it was delusional. The ABC does not respect its own charter and does not currently deserve the respect it demands. Ita was a bit slow off the blocks. What took her so long?🙄
