Despite several clubs enduring COVID-related absences over the weekend, the AFL is holding true to its initial promise to continue as planned through to September. Another team still facing the brunt of the pandemic is West Coast. They were the only team forced to make use of their top-up pool this year, using non-listed players like Stefan Giro, Declan Mountford, Angus Dewar, Aaron Black and Jake Florenca to replenish their dwindling team numbers.
