The AFL is setting up a brand new Queensland hub for players’ loved ones, but unfortunately not all partners are created equal.

AFL CEO Gillon McLachlan announced on Wednesday all of the league’s Victorian teams would remain north on the back of a booming second coronavirus wave that has gripped the state.

Players weighed up the option of not joining their teams ahead of the first shift and after the latest decision, the AFL acted by setting up a hub for families and partners at the Mantra resort in Southport. “Families and loved ones who want to join their partners in Queensland, we will facilitate this,” AFL chief executive officer Gillon McLachlan said.

“It’s not for someone who’s had a partner for a few weeks, but anything that’s of substance, we have people who will work through that criteria. We’re not going to be silly about this.”Source:AAP

Wtf is the point of a WAG. Its not an occupation. You hear more about them than players

I'm confident that Bella Donna Del Bosco Melbourne will somehow get around this no 2 week WAG rule and end up inside the AFL family bubble AFL

Feel sorry for the single guys and others whose partners are less than 12 months in the relationship ... what are they suppose to do ?

What's the point in this organization of having a 'Head of Football'? Isn't that like in Dairy Queen, having a Head of Milk, or in Apple appointing a lead researcher for buttons?
