Carlton have named Jacob Weitering for their clash against North Melbourne on Good Friday. The important defender will play his first game of the season and is joined in the undefeated Blues’ side by fellow backman Caleb Marchbank and Elijah Hollands.

The Blues, who had a bye last week after winning their first two matches, have dropped three players including Lachie Young and Brodie Kemp. North meanwhile have made no changes as they search for their first win of the season. In other team news, Melbourne have named Clayton Oliver and Jake Lever for Saturday’s blockbuster clash against Port Adelaide. Oliver dislocated his finger at training during the week, while Lever hurt his knee in the win over Hawthorn last week.
