AFL players returned to training this morning. Some clubs were being strategic in compiling their groups as, if one player tests positive, the other seven players also have to self-isolate for 14 days.

Collingwood and Sydney players were among the first in the AFL to return to training in groups, taking to the field on Monday morning as the AFL's restrictions eased.

Pies coach Nathan Buckley oversaw training at the Holden Centre, where Jamie Elliott, Jordan De Goey, Ben Reid and Brody Mihocek were among the players in action.Scott Pendlebury, Brodie Grundy and Mason Cox were also photographed at training.In Sydney, Lance Franklin was among the players on the track as coach John Longmire and assistant Steve Johnson led a group at Lakeside Oval.

"We've done a bit of a mix of experience, bit of like-for-like stuff and also positional," Dew told SEN radio. "[So] we've got a little bit of a mix – even to the point of a couple of inside [players] in one group, a couple in the other, speed in one, speed in the other – just in case."Our boys have been pretty good and clearly everyone's tested negative thus far but we've just got to be vigilant."
