The AFL expects COVID-19 cases to arise regularly at clubs in 2022, but the teams have been told to learn to live with it. agerealfooty

A staffer from an unnamed club tested positive in one of the venue’s corporate suites on the first night of the two-night event.

As a result, to ensure additional risk mitigation, the AFL said all club representatives have been told to stay in their respective suites at the Docklands stadium and wear masks for the duration of the draft - starting with the second round - as well as undergo rapid antigen tests upon arrival. They were more likely to adopt the approach of recent years that clubs would be expected to play as long as they could field a team, with unavailability due to a COVID-19 diagnosis considered similar to other injuries or illnesses.

With vaccination rates reaching 90 per cent, a person who tests positive to COVID-19 in Victoria has to isolate for 10 days, and those they live with must isolate for seven days. Close contacts will only need to isolate until they test negative for COVID-19, reducing the impact on clubs.

I agree with the opposition leader, the premier has made a fool of herself, and can't accept she stuffed this up. And when I heard her say the Feds wanted to give us covid, I nearly fell off my chair. What a stupid statement from our so called premier David who? Who?
