A man has been arrested and charged over the home invasion and a second man is being sought by police Police said two men used baseball bats to smash the front windows of a house in Washington Drive, Craigmore just after 12:00am.During the ordeal, a 52-year-old woman who lives at the house went to run back inside the home but caught her foot on the front security door, severing the small toe on her left foot.
Ambulance officers rushed the injured woman to the Lyell McEwin Hospital, along with her severed toe — found by police — in a plastic bag.Meanwhile police went to a Salisbury address and located one of the alleged suspects. A 25-year-old man from Salisbury was arrested and charged with aggravated serious criminal trespass, aggravated assault cause harm and property damage.Enquiries are continuing to locate the second suspect who is known to the victim and police.
