The act was not in regards to a discussion it was done as a statement. Discussion around this subject has been ongoing for a couple of decades - a decisive decision and action needs to be taken as so we can move forward - yes. However making a statement like such is not okay.

I think the 3 flags was clearly the correct move. Shame it took well, 100's of years to get there. What Bandt said is clearly correct. However, one must question if after years of divisive politics from Abbott and Morrison. He could perhaps give us time to catch our breath.

A discussion does not involve either rewriting nor censorship. This was an ill-informed decision, probably suggested by their media department who saw how effective Albo’s inclusion of the indigenous flag was. They decided one step further would be even better. It wasn’t.
Bit of a storm in a tea cup really. If Adam Bandt doesn't want to be near the Aussie flag, who cares what he does there? A far more egregious insult to the flag was having Morrison, Joyce et al next to it, using it as a prop for their distasteful antics.
