ACT Chief Minister Andrew Barr wants to see federal parliament called off following the Territory’s lockdown extension until September 2 after 19 new local cases were reported on Monday.

Parliament is due to come back next week but Mr Barr has pleaded with Prime Minister Scott Morrison, saying it would be inappropriate at this time.

Mr Barr has flagged he will give residents an idea of what the next two weeks will look like under revised settings during today’s COVID update.
