A man accused of trying to kill a police officer in Sydney's CBD earlier this month has been found dead in his jail cell. 9News

Frederick Fadi Elrezz, 32, being taken to Parklea ?? by police.He was charged with attempted murder over the incident, during which police allege he slashed the face of one police officer and bit another on the arm.

A 40-year-old senior constable was treated for a laceration on the left side of his head, and a second wound to his left arm.
