In regional Victoria, palliative care patients are waiting hours and sometimes days for much-needed medications to help with pain and quality of life.

A third of all the nurses in the survey said they did not have specific guidance regarding the use of these medications for the patients."Our nurses out there are very well trained. They are very motivated, but they can't be across everything when they are expected to deal with everything from maternal health to palliative care," he said.

"It took me away from my job, and more to the point led, Sandra to an experience of anxiety," Mr Williams said. "It's a big thing, to know it's always going to be there. It's a have-to-be because I've got lots of things to think and worry about and medication is not my field," Mrs Kleinetz said."We need more people like him. I always say that we need to clone him. He does a wonderful job."

...and there are people quibbling, if a person dying within a time limit, have Dr's prescribing, locked box, key two medications taken separately... should be allowed because he thinks it's InHumane. Well I think it's InHumane to delay Palative Medicines. Making Euthanasia need?

My advice : don’t get sick & don’t go near a hospital . My opinion only . The body is self healing but it is kept from us .

Mmmm a doctor is best yes because there are very few well trained nurses anymore unless okd school . I have delt with cas staff & nursing home ( 18 months , not one off )staff & all woeful . My experience only .

This is why a majority of nursing home patients who are palliated are kept in hospital...
