Students and teachers tried to save the life of an abseiling instructor after he fell 40 metres to his death after an accident in the Margaret River. 9News

high school students with two teachers, when he fell at Brides Cave in Boranup just after 3pm on Thursday.An abseiling instructor has died in an accident at Brides Cave, in Boranup, in Western Australia's Margaret River region.

The abseiling instructor was a "well-respected" member of the caving community with over 25 years of experience. The students and supervising teachers had been on a camp and caving was one of their outdoor activities.
