Sky News host Chris Kenny has taken aim at the ABC’s MediaWatch, detailing just how much the public broadcaster spends on a weekly 15-minute program that has 'scant regard for the truth' when it comes to climate change. KennyReport

Sky News host Chris Kenny has taken aim at the ABC’s MediaWatch, detailing just how much the public broadcaster spends on a weekly 15-minute program that has "scant regard for the truth" when it comes to climate change.

“In a world where tax dollars are so precious, what a disgrace it is that so much of your money is wasted on [Paul] Barry's attempts to hide the truth he doesn't like on climate change, and bend and manipulate the truth about people he doesn't like - like Sky News," Mr Kenny said. Mr Kenny then rounded on the eye-watering salaries paid to the MediaWatch team. “MediaWatch host Paul Barry, for instance, is paid $200,000 a year to produce 15 minutes of television a week...

Sky is the worst media organisation in Australia.

ABCmediawatch is much more credible then SkyNews SkyNewsPolitics

Chris Kenny is a disgrace, just like most people associated with this deplorable organisation.

2019 was ‘THE CLIMATE CHANGE ‘ election!!! That was the rhetoric before and after the election. I remember a Sky news commentator saying straight after the result; Australia has spoken!!!!

Thank you Chris. I have a scoop for you if you are interested. I need a postal address.

This Mediawatch is a joke, an opinionated view only. And who really cares? The ABC is a burden to the Taxpayers of this country.

Big money everywhere to promote views of extreme left..time to stand up & demand severe cuts to disapponting ABC...😏👊🏾🇦🇺🐰

Why pile on Chris Kenny he is pointing out to you where your tax dollars are being used .Nine staff yearly probably well over $2m to produce 650min of TV mostly piling on to sky presentors abc bias personified.

I miss ChrisKenny

Chris Kenny is a halfwit. Full stop. Buggers me why Rupe pays him. Worst presenter on tv and even worse editor.

Climate change, Chris Kenny is a total denier and will spread lies far and wide

I’m guessing due too Kenny’s low TV ratings the only way he can sound relevant is by complaining about how bad he is in his current Job!

Fido’s ratings have probably dropped again people will wake to the lies eventually

And doesn't that other old ABC grogan, Tony Jones, get paid $400K a year for hosting Q&A - a 60 minute program. By my calculation, the ABC pays their hosts between $600-$1200 per minute per year. Seems fair & a good use of taxpayer money!!!!

OMGTheMess How does the song go?🎶 'You can't get me I'm part of the ABC'🎶

Morrison defends govt policy on climate change saying we do more than enough so what does media watch do? They go to 4 climate scientists on the public payroll and ask them are we doing enough? They say no. Proof. Morrison wrong. Media watch right. That’s the level of debate.

Is Phillip Adams a C_A control communist agent ?.......ummmmmmm wondering !

Why is Chris so obsessed with the ABC. He is constantly complaining about something. I think he’s jealous of their ratings when he looks at his own. When you are beaten by Peppa Pig it is soooooo embarrassing.

Their ABC ripping off Australian taxpayers!!! auspol

Time for the government to step in and clean the ABC of the leftist pushing people. I used to watch the ABC but not now. It had great shows like Good News Week, Spicks and Specks and British comedy shows. Now it is the front for radical left wing ideas and a 16 year old.

TheRealPBarry used to be a high-integrity journo. What happened to you Paul? Why do you despise so much of Australian culture? Stop the self-deception!

WB: It’s time to privatise the ABC, STOP subsidising a commercial competitor ABC includes TV stations, radio stations, book publishing, magazines, videos and DVDs and Internet outlets. Tax payers DON'T subsidies Commercial TV, They compete in the market

I say, investigate, prosecute and prison for all of the climate apocalypse fraudsters...

Well 44 episodes leaving us at $1,200 a minute between the 2 of them is still way short of Michael Jordan's rate of $88 per second. ABC pay rise?

Kenny you’re not worth 2bob!!!!

Yeah but you’re not so good with the truth are you either Kenny? The fact you’re pointing the finger suggests you’re rattled. Not a great fan of mediawatch but can’t say you’re the go to guy for the facts in any story you run ... pots and kettles and black and ... stuff

OMGTheMess

zephstefkrysezi Many at the ABC are little more than glorified dole bludgers.

Media Watch - 1 show pw, 15 mins per episode, records more than twice the number of viewers of both of Chris Kenny’s hour long prime time shows combined. “Wanda & the Alien” and “Waffle Doggy” get higher viewer numbers! (I checked).

Just another ABC tax payer rip off mediawatch ABCNews

lasty52 Putrid ABC, obscene disgraceful.

ScottMorrisonMP Fake news ABC attack farmers ABC 'dams in regional Australia do not provide value for money because they are designed to benefit agriculture'' fake news abc Agriculture feeds us $Billions of exports & jobs

There goes kennyReport again, wrongly comparing ABC to a commercial media outlet. ABC is the democratic institution we fund to inform the electorate's decision making. If .ABCmediawatch is wrong they'll apologise on air, as ever, but not taking SkyNewsAust word for it.

I love that my taxes at work mean Chris Kenny is having another whinge and claiming to know the meaning of truth

Poor ❄ Kenny, hates his lies being called out 😂😂😂

ABC board doesn't have enough funds. Could save some dollars by cancelling media watch

Please ScottMorrisonMP sell the ABCaustralia they r now dangerous & purposely misleading their viewers. They r at war with conservatives & anyone who questions their global warming religion.

abcnews ClimateChange Talking Points. Not a hint of fact!

We could save a lot of tax payer money by rationising the numerous TV, radio and other ABC outlets. Ratings show appeal is reducing, yet ABC wants more money. I’d rather save and spend money saved on hospitals or schools or the like.

Get rid of the ABC, a blight on the public purse.

It’s a bitch rich. Kenny and the Truth are rarely seen together.

So, as usual, ad hominem attacks. Playing the man and not the ball. But nothing else works, as there is no truth behind his rantings against The ABC.

“Climate change” according to Chris Kenny that is - the man who bullies Twitter citizens and posts their real name on national television

I see mattcunningham around the NT from time to time. One man band, does his own hair & make-up, sets up his own camera & microphone. Can do a live cross at all hours. How many would abcdarwin have?

How much of our money is Rupert Murdoch stealing through tax evasion? auspol

*Fixed it

Ha ha hilarious, poor old Kenny cant handl the truth. I’d trust the ABC over morons like him any day.

Yuk Yuk, Sky.....'scant regard for the truth'...!!!! newscorpse

what15 minutes of propaganda is like at ABC .

Free TV is bloody expensive, so is cable but without the audience numbers

Says kenny who lies for a living

Get rid of it!!!!

Have a look at him!🙄🤣🤮

didn't chris fuck a dog though?

kenny thinks viewing media watch is mandatory

Are you really on $200k? TheRealPBarry

Oh, why don't you come to the UK. You'd be a breath of fresh air (pun intended!).

It’s negligent waste of taxpayers money the biased tripe that is dished up on Channel 2

Oh lord he is really upset that he got called out huh
