NSW Western Sydney Minister Stuart Ayres says there’s “no doubt” that there’s frustration amongst flood-ravaged communities.

“They’ve experienced, in some cases, four floods in the last two years … and these are devastating impacts,” he told Sky News host Erin Molan.

“And so, people want to know how can we reduce that risk, there’s some really obvious ways in which we can do that, but we also have to keep informing people about that risk, so they’re better prepared for it in the future.”

Maybe Molan should ask Ayres “Minister how is it that developers were allowed to build all these homes downstream from a dam, in areas that have been flooding since the 60’s?”

Putting $100million on the table might help, hey I hear that if you ignore zelenskys invite to Ukraine he'll insult you call you all sorts of names and you gave him $100million for the experience that's an expensive train ticket AlboMP PeterDutton_MP

Stop building in flood zones. Simples! In case some idiot blames the latest floods on climate change. 👇

Just saw a house sell near me that has been completely underwater 4 times in the last 10 yrs go for $480 000. 🤡🌏

Frustrated that the majority of the ALP government are currently on junkets So who’s running the ALP shite show

No shit sherlock.

Come on guys Windsor and Richmond have been flooding from when I was 4 years old I was born in the early sixties. Simple, don't build there. In fact anywhere also along the Napean and Windsor rivers.

They should all move. Get paid some money by the councils and real estate companies who fooled them and turn the properties into parkland... Australians should not have to pay them reparations every year because they built below flood line. Or get homes on wheels

‘Critically important’ there’s no ‘backsliding on Brexit’Unfortunately a bunch of the front runners for the Conservative leadership (maybe except pritipatel ) were remainers Did he mention for whom? Seems doubtful he meant the average British citizen? Brokexit Mr Abbot is right, but Boris was a huge disappointment anyway, voted in with an 80 seat majority, for border control and social conservatism by many working class people and he gave them windmills. Who ever replaces him, will I'd wager be worse and offer only more windmills.
