If the estimates are accurate, it means Australia has endured a far-higher number of covid19 infections than previously thought, without overwhelming the hospital system, write liammannix and aishamae

Of those screened by researchers in June and July, 0.28 per cent had COVID-19 antibodies, the study found, which means they had contracted coronavirus. Antibody testing can tell if a person has ever been infected with a virus, as antibodies remain in the blood for many months after a person recovers from infection.

Professor Elizabeth Gardiner at the John Curtin School of Medical Reseach at Australian National University."We have had more infection than we thought. And hospitals have coped extraordinarily well," said Professor Elizabeth Gardiner, head of the Australian National University's cancer department and a co-author of the paper.

Professor Brendan Crabb, an antibody-testing expert and director of the Burnet Institute who was not involved in the study, said the estimate of 71,400 infections was "on the high side of likelihood, but not out of the realms of possibility". Professor Kristine Macartney, director of the National Centre for Immunisation Research and Surveillance, said coronavirus cases were probably missed in the first weeks and months of the pandemic in Australia when there were greater restrictions on who could access testing.

liammannix aishamae Lies

liammannix aishamae Led by fools

liammannix aishamae There will be a group refusing tests due to risk to them of discoveries by the authorities where the crooks are at......!

liammannix aishamae Fake news

liammannix aishamae 60,000? I thought was 26 million? where do they get this magical number from? dont tell me modelling..... please share the modelling

liammannix aishamae Don't bother clicking, this story picks itself apart because it just wanted a headline. 'sample size is too small to make a confident estimate about the true level of infection around Australia'

liammannix aishamae 😲😲

liammannix aishamae That’s a HUGE ‘if’

Warning melbourne ; woolworths ripping off ppl changing tobacco prices up every second day. It was $26.95 till last week, $29.95 2 days ago, today $31.95 They say it s DanielAndrewsMP s decision 🙄 Buy from coles Gov has to stop this. Ppl r being robbed!

liammannix aishamae This is based on antibody studies. Only a fraction of people produce them to SARSCOV2, most fight it off with mucosal immunity or T-cells. So spread is probably significantly higher. Hilarious.

liammannix aishamae No higher deaths or ICU numbers, tells me its a scamdemic!!

liammannix aishamae But how can “estimates “ be “accurate “? Estimates are guesses...accuracy is definitive...🙄

liammannix aishamae They’ve always said infections were likely 10 times higher everywhere than what was known 🤷🏻‍♀️

liammannix aishamae Kinda makes you question the intelligence of indefinite lockdowns doesn't it?

liammannix aishamae Wouldn’t be surprised
