A young Aussie has revealed how the housing crisis in Australia made her realise the “crazy” difference between her and her mates.The rental and housing crisis has separated young people into two groups in Australia : those that are from money and those that aren’t.
“After university, everyone had the option to go home and work. Whereas, if I wanted to have a good life, I couldn’t go home,” she told news.com.au. She explained that it was hard to comprehend that so many of her peers were in a position where they were going through life with the expectation that they’d inherit a house or get financial help with their first deposit.

She found the way their parents spoke about money and careers foreign to her.
Ms Pope said that one of her main focuses in life is to save up for a deposit, but she won’t have help from her parents. “It is so crazy there is a housing crisis because housing is a fundamental human need,” she said , said that borrowing from the Bank of Mum and Dad definitely allows for a major advantage when entering the housing market.
