UPDATE: There have been 11 new virus cases in Australia, while health officials say two new deaths were not virus-related both previously testing positive.

As increasing numbers of us are getting out and about, a big question looms over how and when we should be using public transport.

Anyone who catches a peak hour train or bus in a major city knows maintaining social distancing would be impossible in the busy periods. This morning, NSW Transport Minister Andrew Constance said commuters needed to have "a degree of self-responsibility" when workers begin returning to the office. It comes after the NSW government outlined plans to enforce social distancing on public transport as Sydneysiders return to work.Distinctive green dots will be used on trains, buses and ferries to show passengers the safest places to sit and stand.People are being asked to avoid travel before 10am and after 2pm.

"You should advise customers when you have reached capacity under the new physical distancing guidelines but do not refuse them travel," the memo reads.

NDIS investigating Ann-Marie Smith's death as Anglicare confirms carer was subcontracted - ABC NewsA second care provider confirms Ann-Marie Smith's carer worked shifts for their organisation, as the NDIS says it is investigating the case. It's easy to point the finger of scorn at Anglicare SA, but how would they know if the carer was negligent when said carer reported no complications? They can't check every place of residence at all times and in all locations. Condolences to family. This is heartbreaking! How is it possible for this to happen in Australia? What has happened to us? There must be supervision and oversight. Why was just one carer given the entire responsibility for this young woman’s emotional, social, mental and physical well-being? Surely a range of help was needed. Regular assessments? Ann-Marie was tortured. 💔
