ACT police find five bricks of cocaine in a raid on a home in Theodore, in one of the largest-ever drug busts in the ACT's history.

The seizure of five kilograms of cocaine from a home in Theodore is the largest seizure of the drug in Canberra's history, according to ACT police.Shaun Claude Small, 28, is charged with trafficking a commercial quantity of prohibited drugsOfficers have not ruled out more raids or arrestsThey allegedly found the five bricks inside the house, wrapped in black plastic, and preliminary tests of the substance found it to be cocaine.

He appeared in the ACT Magistrates Court this morning, where he pleaded not guilty to the charge and did not apply for bail. Detective Superintendent Scott Moller said there was more police work to do in establishing where the drugs came from and where it was heading."That five kilograms was destined for the ACT, and possibly outer-lying suburbs and locations around the ACT."Mr Small was the only person to be charged following the seizure, but police said more arrests and raids were possible.

Detective Superintendent Moller said there were suggestions an organised criminal network, with links outside the ACT, could be involved."We're still in the infancy of this investigation. "At this stage there is no link to outlaw motorcycle gangs. What I can say though is this is part of an organised crime syndicate."
