Remember the magic of Madame Zingara? Well, Joburgers can now get a sweet touch of the well-known travelling dinner cirque in a new restaurant opened by the former creative energy behind the brand.

– a drinks, dining and cultural destination.

With a life-long career in travel, food, retail, dining and entertainment, Griffin has worked on several other popular restaurants and concepts, from The Bombay Bicycle Club, Sidewalk Café and Haarlem and Hope – all located in Cape Town – to the travelling Madame Zingara’s Theatre of Dreams, housed in the 80-year-old, 400-seater Spiegelpaleis tent. It hosted nearly a million guests on its multiyear journey around the country.

Bar snacks and starters range from crack-bacon chicken wings in a hard-crust vodka batter tossed in a salted bacon caramel, topped with fresh lemon. For dessert you can tuck into Moroccan cigars – phyllo pastry filled with caramel, chocolate and hazelnuts, served with vanilla pod ice cream and rosewater syrup.
