Kaizer Chiefs head coach Cavin Johnson opted to keep fans and Orlando Pirates' management guessing ahead of today's clash.
South Africa will come to a standstill this afternoon when Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs lock horns at the iconic FNB Stadium.Chiefs currently sit one point behind Orlando Pirates after 19 league matches. Johnson’s side head into today’s match in sixth position whilst Riveiro’s side are in fifth.
Kaizer Chiefs coach Cavin Johnson refused to provide the public with any injury news ahead of today’s derby.“Haha, if I told you that I would be giving away half of my team sheet, so I would rather keep that information to myself until the team is announced. You know how Derbies go, it’s best to keep quiet.” Johnson told the Kaizer Chiefs media team when asked for an injury update. The match will be televised live on SuperSport PSL as well as SABC1.
“Duba has been planning for this for the last three years. He’s been preparing himself mentally to play a derby against Orlando Pirates with Kaizer Chiefs. For me, the excitement of Wandile coming in and scoring is not new, but it would be very new if he came in and scored a goal in the Soweto derby.”
