There were variable takeoff and landing aircraft back then, but there weren’t the digital control systems. There were ideas for air taxis, but the electric motors and the types of propulsion that you needed didn’t exist back then.”Design offers several notable advantages over conventional VTOLThe design offers several notable advantages over more conventional VTOL systems. Additionally, the system is designed to produce much lower emissions, making it a more environmentally friendly option compared to traditional aircraft.This type of aircraft could prove especially valuable in situations where access is difficult, such as remote regions, offshore platforms, or emergency scenarios. Its ability to take off and land vertically without the need for a runway makes it highly versatile for logistics and rapid-response operations.
